The Challenge
Broadridge wanted training that went beyond standard Power BI courses. Rather than using generic sample data, the organisation wanted employees to learn using their own finance and revenue datasets, ensuring immediate relevance and practical application.
The programme also needed to accommodate global teams across multiple time zones while aligning with Broadridge’s evolving data governance and reporting strategy.
Strategy & Approach
Elliott Training worked closely with Broadridge’s finance and technical teams to understand their reporting objectives, data structures, governance requirements, and existing Power BI capability.
Using this insight, we designed and delivered bespoke Introduction and Advanced Power BI programmes built around Broadridge’s own data. Training was delivered virtually in interactive half-day sessions, allowing teams across the UK, US, and India to participate while maintaining day-to-day business operations.
By using real business data throughout the programme, learners were able to apply new skills directly to their reporting environment and gain a deeper understanding of Power BI best practices, data modelling, and report design.
The Results
The programme successfully enhanced Power BI capability across Broadridge’s global finance teams.
Participants gained greater confidence in analysing and visualising data, while the use of real business datasets increased engagement and accelerated learning. The training also supported Broadridge’s wider objective of encouraging governed self-service reporting and building a network of Power BI champions within the Finance function.
