Teams relied heavily on manual processes for reporting, approvals, and data handling, creating inefficiencies and slowing down operations. Data was also fragmented across departments, making it difficult to generate clear insights. In addition, project management approaches varied between teams, leading to inconsistencies and reduced visibility.
Sertec needed a more joined-up, efficient way of working—one that would maximise their existing technology and support long-term digital transformation.
Strategy & Approach
Elliott Training delivered a tailored programme designed to embed practical digital skills and improve day-to-day workflows across the business.
The focus was on increasing adoption of Microsoft 365 tools such as Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive to strengthen collaboration and communication. Alongside this, Power BI training enabled teams to build real-time dashboards and generate insights from multiple data sources, supporting faster and more informed decision making.
Microsoft Planner was introduced to create a more consistent approach to project management, improving visibility, accountability, and coordination across teams. At the same time, Power Automate training helped employees streamline repetitive processes, including approvals and notifications, reducing manual workload.
All sessions were hands-on and aligned to real business scenarios, ensuring immediate application and long-term behavioural change.
The Results
The programme delivered clear improvements across Sertec’s operations, including a 15% increase in system adoption and a 20%+ uplift in productivity and collaboration.
Teams are now using Microsoft 365 more effectively to communicate and work together, reducing reliance on email and manual processes. Power BI has enabled access to real-time data insights, improving visibility and supporting faster decision making across departments.
Project management has become more structured and consistent through the use of Planner, while automated workflows have reduced time spent on repetitive administrative tasks. As a result, employees are more confident in using digital tools and better equipped to work efficiently.
