Unite Student Accommodation selected Elliott Training to develop and deliver a training programme to all London Personnel on their Internal Bespoke System – PEX STL
For the benefit of Unite a business need was identified to actively sell London properties on a Short Term Let (STL) basis. Certain properties within the Unite business currently manage a number of STL bookings but this is managed outside of the core system using Excel spreadsheets and manual cash handling processes. This approach was found to be resource hungry, involving both on-site and Head Office teams, time consuming and not secure.
Due to this requirement a new booking system (PEX) was developed to effectively manage this Short Term Let process. It allows a user to capture the initial information on a customer enquiring about a STLthrough to the actual booking of a property.
Approach
Our design process begins with a thorough analysis of the day-to-day use
of the software and its future application within Unites business. Having
required a great understanding of the PEX STL software we then studied
the needs of the end user and only when training is delivered in their
‘language’ can bespoke training deliver maximum benefits.
Not only were we responsible for training all appropriate personnel but we
were required to completely understand the package, produce all relevant
documentation, create WEBEX sessions for future reference, book
sessions and provide support after the go live date.
